July 7 and 8, in Anchorage, in Great Hands

Rolled into Anchorage in a dirty truck to spend two nights with our friends, Charlie and Mary Jane. They had just hosted us an bunch of family and some folks from Perth, Australia at their lake house in Willow, AK, about an hour and half north. The good times were to continue, just not on the same huge scale!
In a feeble attempt to show our gratitude for all they had done for us, we took them to a nice seafood restaurant in downtown Anchorage, Simon and Seaforte's. Nice views of the Cook Inlet, and, once dinner was on the table, even better views of our seafood dinners! I did splurge on the Alaskan King Crab legs, which were terrific. Ann had her favorite, Halibut. We didn't close the place down, but came close. Here are some memories of that experience...

Next morning, we went off to do some grocery shopping, got some keys replaced, and cleaned up the truck. Our accommodations were outstanding, and we wound up going out to dinner again, this time for Italian food at a place Charlie has frequented for decades, Sorrento's. It was excellent!

It was a great day and a half! Thanks, Charlie and Mary Jane!!
As an aside, tomorrow night will by the half-way point of my intended journey, leaving June 2 and returning on August 18. So far, so good (at least no flat tires...).
Thanks for your interest!
Best,
Davis, Ann and Tuck
